August 2021 Athlete of the Month- Ben

By: 0

Let’s hear it for our August AOTM…. Ben!!!

Ben jump started his CrossFit many moons ago and has been a great addition to our 2024 family. He shared with us the other day how it was originally his personal trainer who recognized Ben really connected well with CrossFit style workouts and pointed him in that direction over 6 years ago. Tip of the hat to this trainer for recognizing what worked best for his client, what Ben naturally gravitated towards and enjoyed! When Ben arrives for class he is 100% ready to go, arrives early, is coachable, keeps open communication lines with our coaches, has a fantastic attitude, enjoys seeing the progress from his hard work and even steps into help lead out with other athletes in the class.

Coach Jamie said, “Ben is awesome! I always enjoy having him in my classes, getting to talk all things CrossFit and life. Not to mention the times the times he breaks loose to dance when I play Paul Simon’s “Call Me Al” in class! Oh memories 😀 In terms of technique, Ben moves well, but isn’t content to remain where he is. Ben wants to keep making progress and will apply the feedback given to see that continual improvement, which is exactly what a coach loves to see! Ben has really taken initiative on his own by stepping into spaces to help his fellow athletes and leading by example through encouragement as well – from newbies and seasoned CrossFitters alike. Those things are incredible gems to see! We are so grateful to have Ben in the 2024 family!” Coach Joe and Coach Jared both agree Ben is a positive force in the classes, has got a great attitude and work ethic!

We absolutely love having you in our 2024 family Ben and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful gains in store for you! Keep it up!
