December 2021 Athlete of the Month- David

Let’s hear it for our December AOTM…. David!!!

David jump started his CrossFit journey four years ago and has loved it every day since! David joined our box family in the summer of 2020, loves to move heavy loads and is a big personality in the box! He’s loves seeing progress in the journey, cheering on his classmates and wants to GRIT and GROW every day until he reaches his goals!

Coach Joe said, ““David is a stellar example of having a consistent positive attitude. He attacks every workout with purpose and a contagious passion that energizes the entire class. I’m very proud of David’s work ethic and progress at CrossFit.” Coach Jared also had this to say about David too! “David’s been crushing this month. He’s been pushing himself harder than I’ve ever seen. His hard working attitude and support for others is truly a blessing in the gym and gets everyone else fired up to push themselves.”

We absolutely love having you in our 2024 family David and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful gains in store for you! Keep it up!

Q: How long have you been doing CrossFit?
A: 4 years

Q: Why did you originally hop on the CrossFit Express?
A: Dropped into a box with a friend and fell in love with it since day one.

Q: What motivates you to keep going and working hard?
A: I want to see a better version of myself.

Q: What’s your favorite movements in CrossFit?
A: Back squats, deadlifts, snatches, thrusters, front squats + overhead squats

Q: What are your long term goals (in fitness or in life)?
A: Happiness and lift heavy weights!

Q: What’s your biggest accomplishment since joining 2024?
A: Getting stronger. 

Q: Who is someone that inspires you at the box and why?
A: Erik + Coach Jared because they are beast. 

Q: What’s one hidden talent you have or interesting fact about you?
A: Dance king.

A: Training Day

Q: Favorite coffee/lunch/dinner spot in ATX?
A: Terry Black’s BBQ

Q: What’s one item on your bucket list?
A: Travel to Greece.

Q: Favorite Cheat Meal?
A: Burger and fries.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most going into 2022?
A: Looking forward to a lot of physical and mental changes for myself.

A: After one WOD you will be hooked.
