December Athlete Of The Month – Tyler
Let’s hear it for our final athlete of the month for 2019…. Tyler!!!
Tyler joined our family the summer of 2018 and is just a phenomenal athlete and an overall wonderful person! By day she is a gifted Occupational Therapist, but by night she goes full on beast mode at the box. She is humble, hard working and approaches competition in a healthy way. She cheers on her fellow 2024 family members while pushing her own limits in order to reach the next level in her CrossFit practice. Many people within our community look up to her and she is someone who has caught the eye of some of our nation’s best weightlifters. She’s four years into CrossFit, she is picking up her pace and no where near done. She just completed the online team qualifier for Wodapalooza and has competed on a local level as well.
Just to throw a few stats down on paper, here are a few of her 1 RM barbell lifts:
Deadlift: 265 lbs
Back Squat: 225 lbs
Overhead Squat: 150 lbs
Clean & Jerk: 165 lbs
Power Snatch: 120 lbs
(… which we find pretty dang impressive!)
Coach Joe recently had this to say about Tyler, “We’re so glad to have Tyler as a part of the 2024 community. She’s a great role model for us all – Tyler sets goals, works hard to achieve them, and inspires others. She is living proof that consistency, focus, and hard work pay off big in the long-run.” We absolutely love having you in our 2024 family “Ty-Spice” and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things in store for you ahead! Keep it up girl! ?
