February Athlete of the Month – Brandon

By: 0

Let’s see some love for our February Athlete of the Month… Brandon!!!

Brandon has been in the 2024 family for 2.5 years now and is our first athlete to be nominated for Athlete of the Month TWICE!! Brandon has always been a shining example of consistency, hard work, someone who desires to grow no matter what, and is still one of the most supportive cheerleaders and encouragers to every single person who steps in the box. In fact, since we’ve known B he has only grown in each of the above listed traits! If there was a “team captain” of our box, Brandon would definitely be ours! We love to do life alongside him in and out of the box too! He also started hosting monthly events for the 2024 guys this year and providing a space for the fellas to hang out and grow in their understanding of nutrition via cooking. Since this is the first time at our box we’ve had a two-time recipient we wanted to touch base with our coaching staff to share

Coach Jared, Owner & Head Coach of 2024, had this to say, “what’s stood out to me lately is just his investment in the people at the gym and how extra encouraging he is towards everyone. He’s always cheering people on, helping others with little technique tips, and pushing people through the end of workouts.”

Coach Jamie shared this, “Brandon has always been a joy to have in our family! He is always fun to have in class too. Fun is a big part of what we do and you can tell that Brandon just enjoys being at the box. I’m someone who highly encourages dancing (when time allows for it) and although Brandon’s dance moves have yet to be captured on film, he has a good old fashioned fun time at the box – which is great to see! Brandon is someone who completely understands the team dynamic of things too. While he leads by example in his work ethic, he never falters to spurs others on as well! He arrives early and stays late. He doesn’t get distracted by passing fitness industry trends, which can easily distract from the big picture. He shows up, puts in the hard work, listens to his body, focuses on his form, keeps open communication with the coaches and while we have certainly seen him progress in his CrossFit practice (which is of course awesome in and of itself), something that stands out to me about “B” is that his roots are planted here. He isn’t interested in having one foot in and one foot out and isn’t afraid of commitment. Commitment to his personal and professional goals and commitment to others. It’s a rare thing to really see people committed to their goals and in life these days. I think we can learn a lot by Brandon’s example!”

Lastly, Coach Joe also shared some of his favorite things about Brandon as well! “Brandon is an incredible athlete and very well-rounded. I really admire the way he brings positive energy into the gym and enjoys the process of working toward his goals.”

We absolutely love having you in our 2024 family “B” and we can’t wait to continue to see all the fantastic gains in store for you! Keep up the great work!
