Today’s submission was 2024 approved by Coach Jared. This has been a major favorite of his for a tasty savory comfort food that is also super simple and easy to “grab and go.” “It’s easily one of my favorite meals I’ve ever made” says Coach Jared. Bon Appétit!
Mississippi Pot Roast
What You Need:
- Slow Cooker
- Chuck Roast
- Butter
- Pepperoncini Peppers
- Packet of Ranch Dressing Mix
- Packet of Au Jus Gravy Mix
To Cook:
- Add the meat to the slow cooker
- Top the meat with the ranch and au jus mixes
- Add cut up butter and peppers throughout the cooker
- Cook on low for 12 hours
- Serve and enjoy!
Tips: For a little more flavor, add a little of the pepperoncini juice into the slow cooker. Make sure that the roast is on low for many hours. This will help tenderize the meat and allow it to fall apart at the fork when done. Lastly, serving on top of mashed potatoes or rice and adding a nice big side salad will take this meal to a new level. Also, don’t forget to add some of the broth on top to keep things juicy!
